This info actually helped me get another windows live game working.

for those also struggling to find how to create a local windows live profile.
Once windows live window appears it askes you to sign into your live account profile. instead just simply scroll down the terms and conditions. within the text there is a blue link stating 'create local profile'.\n
It's that easy yet nobody online seems to mention this. If you dont scroll down the terms and conds you will not see the local profile link. I was stuck on this for a while because i never saw the local profile link.
