Thanks EZTV, do you have plans to start using the new HEVC x265 Codec which can achieve even higher compression and resolution for your encoded files .....???

who is using it with a very high degree of success already and I have done a few encodes also by applying its use via "Handbrake" that did not seem overly complicated to use ...

Playback of the files can be a little difficult right now due to most tv's not having the capability to decode the x265 codec, but it was not that long ago that this was also the case with x264 and the community still embraced x264 and found a way to watch the files.

I feel that the gains in compression and quality of the finished product outway the minor playback issue, after all the files can be played back through a PC providing it has the latest codec package installed and a reasonably high Graphic capability .....

HEVC is supported by Daum Pot Player, Gom Player, KM Player, Kodi, Light Alloy, MPCHC, K-Lite Codec Package, Videolan [VLC] etc.. etc.. and is growing all the time ....
