Most movies are filmed in a 2.35:1 or 2.40:1 aspect ratio. They are wide and suited mainly for theaters. Most TVs are 1.778 aspect ratio (16:9). Because of this, black bars appear on the top and the bottom. This is how the film is supposed to be watched. You can zoom in and try to avoid the black bars, but that will cut off a lot of scenes on the sides, and reduce quality due to the zooming. This movie is ONLY available in 1920x1080 with the black bars; most encoders crop them off to save space, which in this case, would be 1920x800. Some films are filmed in 16:9; this isn't one of them.
