Prima della nascita dell'uomo, gli immortali combatterono gli uni con gli altri. I vincitori si autoproclamarono dei, mentre i vinti vennero chiamati Titani ed imprigionati sotto il Monte

Tartaro. Durante la guerra, l'arco di Epiro, un'arma di immenso potere, si perse sulla Terra.

Nel 1228 a.C., il mortale Iperione (Mickey Rourke) cerca l'arco, con l'intenzione di usarlo per liberare i Titani per far punire gli dèi che non avevano salvato la sua famiglia. Iperione

cattura la vergine oracolo Fedra (Freida Pinto), credendo che possa trovare il luogo dove si trova l'arco. In un piccolo villaggio vicino, gli abitanti si preparano a fuggire sul Tartaro

per evitare l'esercito di Iperione. Un abitante, Teseo (Henry Cavill), è un guerriero abile allenato dal suo vecchio mentore (John Hurt). Teseo e sua madre Aethra (Anne Day-Jones),

considerati indesiderabili perché Teseo nacque dopo che Aethra venne stuprata......................


Storyline


Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a

bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares.

Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king's hands,

the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man's conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion...
