do the following to allow the keygen to work correctly:
1. Install the application\n
2. disconnect from the internet completely (remove your cable or shut off your wi-fi). This is necessary because of the new check that the registration process works. if you just add the following to your hosts file; "127.0.0.1 licensing.ultraedit.com" the registration will give an error and not allow you to do an offline registration (see step 10).\n
3. once you are disconnected from the internet, run the application. you will see the trial dialog. click the register button.\n
4. enter anything greater than 6 characters in the USER ID field ( I just used qwerty). enter anything greater than 10 characters in the password field ( I used 1 thru 0) then click register.\n
5. if you were truly disconnected from the internet, you will get a dialog saying that there is no internet connection. click the offline registration button.\n
6. in the dialog that pops up, enter the SAME USER ID and password you entered in step 4.\n
7. the dialog will produce a user code 1 and user code 2. launch the keygen, select the proper app you are generating the keys for and enter the user codes 1 and 2 into the keygen then click generate. that will produce an authorization code 1 and 2.\n
8. copy/paste or type those 2 authorization codes into the activation dialog and click activate.\n
9. DONE!! you should now be fully activated.\n
10. to be safe, after you finish the offline registration, addthe following to your HOSTS file: "127.0.0.1 licensing.ultraedit.com" sans the quotes :P remember, you should not have this entry in your hosts file during registration or you WILL get an error! wait until AFTER the registration process is complete to add this entry.\n
