In this WW2 drama set during the siege of Tobruk in 1942 a British officer,

Capt Anson (John Mills), takes command of an ambulance crew which has been

separated from it`s unit during the evacuation. So they set out on a long and hazardous

journey across the desert in an attempt to reach the safety of Alexandria

Based on the novel by Christopher Landon and derived from his wartime experiences

as a medical officer
