Fred ed il suo migliore amico Barney si sono appena diplomati alla Bronto Crane Academy ed hanno ottenuto un lavoro alla cava di Bedrock. Wilma, invece, è molto infelice. Sua madre ha pianificato il suo futuro incluse le nozze con Chip Rockfeller. Chip è un ricco ereditiero che però, agli occhi di Wilma, è solo un gran noioso. Decide allora di scappare di casa. A Bedrock Wilma consoce Betty. Le due ragazze vivono insieme e lavorano al Bronto King. Dopo un disastroso primo appuntamento Fred si innamora perdutamente di Wilma mentre Barney inizia a fare coppia fissa con Betty. Lasciato a casa il cucciolo Dino, Fred e Barney partono con il grande Gazoo per Rock Vegas, dove intendono passare un week end romantico con le due ragazze.
