The eight lectures presented here were given in Dornach from Dec. 22, 1918 to Jan. 1, 1919. In the Collected Edition of Rudolf Steiner's works, the volume containing the German texts is entitled, Wie kann die Menschheit den Christus wiederfinden? Das dreifache Schattendasein unserer Zeit and das neue Christus-Licht. (Vol. 187 in the Collected Edition) The first lecture was translated by Olin Wannamaker. The remaining lectures were translated by Frances E. Dawson and Gladys Hahn. They were edited for this volume by Gladys Hahn.
