A young man with green eyes and a secret is recruited by an army to fight Titans vampires. Oh wait, there ARE giant monsters too! Story: After a catastrophic epidemic kills every adult on earth, vampires arise from the shadows to enslave the remaining human population. Yuichiro and his friends are kept as vampire fodder in a creepy underground city. Yuichiro dreams of one day fighting back, and the first step is staging a daring escape from their vampire overlords... There are a lot of common elements. * Blue Exorcist: Loved it. The son of Satan goes to an academy to learn how to fight demons, to avenge his the priest who adopted him… * Coppelion: Girls that are genetically engineered to be able to breathe in an abandoned contaminated city, are sent to rescue survivors left behind, but not everyone wants to leave peacefully... * The Irregular at Magic High School: Great! He's a strategist like Lelouche in Code Geass or Shiroe in Log Horizon. Schools are divided in two groups from the entrance tests on magic, but the test is limited to speed and strength, so he ends up a "weed" and bullied by the "blooms". But he slowly has the occasions to show his genius in other areas. * Blast of Tempest: Very energetic and entertaining. A battle to decide the fate of humanity, with magic and rivalry, in the style of Macbeth by Shakespeare. * Aldnoah Zero: The Mars colony became a kingdom. Their knights attack Earth with mechas, for revenge, by jealousy of their resources and for glory. * Akame ga Kill!: A group of assassins try to better the kingdom and fight with magical weapons. Really nice. * Guilty Crown * Dance in the Vampire Bund Action, Ecchi, Nudity, Vampires… * God Eater: Humanity is about to go extinct after messing with genetics and creating creature to cause their own doom… The last bastion of hope is the newly developed "God Arcs" weapons that utilize Oracle cells to fight back, with a team of "God Eaters". * Soul Eater My recommendation: * Parasyte -the maxim-: My favorite. Humanity is literally taken over, body and all. A young man fights for his survival, with the help of the parasite who failed to take over his brain and got his right hand instead.
