Holly Rachel Vukadinovic [born May 11th 1983 in Melbourne, Australia, to a Serbian father and a British mother], who is better known by her stage name of Holly Valance, is an Australian actress and ARIA nominated singer. She is distantly related to the late British comedian Benny Hill — Hill's cousin was her grandfather [cousins twice removed]. From 1999 to 2002, Valance played the role of Felicity "Flick" Scully on Australian soap Neighbours. In 2004, Valance returned to acting, this time in the United States, appearing in episodes of the television series CSI: Miami, Entourage. In 2005, she appeared in an episode of CSI: NY. She then guest-starred in Prison Break, in 2006, as Nika Volek, a role which she continued to portray in the show's second season. In 2007, she appeared in the TV series Shark and Moonlight.
'State Of Mind' is the second album by Australian singer Holly Valance, released in Japan on November 6th 2003 by Warner Bros. Records. It is a mixture of dance and 80's electro-pop, some written by Valance herself. The album's genre, electro pop, differs slightly from her previous album 'Footprints' [2002], Valance stated "It's kind of different cos at the time I was listening to rock, I was listening to dance and lots of electro and I loved them all equally. I thought what would happen if we put them all in a pot and see what happens. And the people I was working with at the time really like that idea. So everyone was working on the same level with the same goals in mind. What we wanted to get out of it was a bit darker, a bit harder. It's a very kind of upbeat record and that's what I like to do". The album's only single, 'State of Mind', was a top twenty hit in Australia, Finland and the United Kingdom.
