Plot :

On October 31, 1693, in Salem, Massachusetts, Thackery Binx discovers his sister Emily being spirited away to the Sanderson Sisters' cottage, a trio of witches. The sisters, Winifred, Sarah and Mary, cast a spell on Emily to absorb her youth and regain their own, killing Emily. Binx confronts them, but the witches transform him into an immortal black cat and to live with his guilt. The townsfolk led by Binx's father, capture and hang the witches, but Winifred's spellbook casts a curse that will resurrect the witches on All Hallows Eve when a virgin lights the Black Flame Candle. Binx remains guarding the cottage to ensure no one summons the witches.

Three hundred years later, Max Dennison uncomfortably moved from Los Angeles to Salem with his family. While they enjoy their time in Salem, Max and his little sister Dani, an enthusiastic trick-or-treater, wander into the house of their friend Allison, whose family owns the...

Trama :

Nel 1693 a Salem, nel Massachusetts, le tre sorelle Sanderson (la maggiore Winifred, Mary e la minore Sarah), rapiscono la piccola Emily Binx e le succhiano la linfa vitale per ridiventare di nuovo giovani. Il fratello Thackery cerca di salvarla, ma una volta scoperto viene trasformato in un gatto nero; i genitori di Emily catturano le tre streghe e le impiccano.

Trecento anni dopo, nella notte di Halloween, il giovane Max, sua sorella Dani e la loro amica Allison si intrufolano nella casa delle tre streghe e, come aveva predetto Winifred, un vergine (Max) accende una candela che riporta in vita le tre che cercano di catturare Dani, ma i tre con Binx (ancora vivo) prendono il libro di stregoneria di Winifred e scappano nel cimitero dove le streghe non possono mettere piede. Qui Binx racconta la sua storia, quando le tre streghe arrivano e fanno resuscitare Billy, lo zombie ex fidanzato...
