Optic Echo sprang from the ashes of Dick and Jane Records, which was
formed in Iowa City by Geoff Richards in 2002. Mike Jedlicka and Nik
Francis joined to release a number of CDs and a 12". The vinyl became
the first release by Optic Echo after D&J was drowned by a certain
lawyer’s cease and desist.

Our radio show "Optic Echo Presents" started in 2007 and can be heard
Monday nights 6-8pm PST streaming live from the Portland Radio Authority
in SE PDX. See our site’s podcasts, mixcloud, or our complete archive
for past shows.

We strive to put out vinyl collaborations of our favorite artists, and
throw small shows outside of the club scene with our Meyer sound system
around Portland, OR.
