Hayat, student of the fifth class, lives together with her family in a beautiful village in Iran. Since month, she prepared for a talent examination, which is supposed to take place in the village school. In the night before the day of the examination, her father becomes seriously ill and has to be brought to hospital. Hayat is forced to look after her small sister at the most important day of her whole life. The circumstances do not allow even those people, who want to help her, to let her do this test in school. But Hayat does not give up...
