About The Author Dr Harry Sidebottom teaches classical history at the University of Oxford, where he is a Fellow of St Benet's Hall and a lecturer at Lincoln College. He has an international reputation as a scholar, having published widely on ancient warfare, classical art and the cultural history of the Roman Empire. Originally from Newmarket in Suffolk, he now lives with his wife and two sons in Woodstock near Oxford. Since 2006 he has been working on the Warrior of Rome series of novels featuring the Anglo-Saxon nobleman turned Roman army officer Ballista and his Familia which are set in the Roman Empire during the so-called 'Great Crisis of the Third Century AD'.  About The Reader Nick Boulton is an actor was born in Gibraltar and studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music And Drama in London. Winning the BBC Radio Carleton-Hobbs Award in 1993, he has since gained extensive experience on radio and television. His theatre performances include Arcadia at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London's West End and Henry V for the Royal Shakespeare Company amongst many others.
