Born 31st August in Bagsv??rd, Copenhagen, Denmark 1980 Qualified as state-tested music teacher, specialising in choir and ensemble-playing, from The Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. 1980-81 Studied at The Berkeley School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. 1981-86 Member of the jazz/rock band, Blast. 1988 Performed in the musical They Call It Love (January) Released the live LP, Shadow Of Love with pianist J??rgen Emborg, bassist Mads Vinding and drummer Alex Riel. Toured as backing singer for Sanne Salomonsen and Kasper Winding. Released her first solo album Black Wolf (October). 1989 Awarded a Grammy as Danish Female Singer of the Year for Black Wolf. 1990 Released the album, Dark Passion (May) and became a success in Norway and Sweden. Had a small role in the film, Dangerous Game. 1991 Toured in Kenya, Africa (February). Awarded four Grammies for Dark Passion in the categories: Danish Female Singer of the Year, Danish Album of the Year, Hit of the Year (I Wanna Make Love To You) and Danish Producer of the Year (Poul Bruun). 1992 Released two albums: My Kindred Spirit (February) and Kinda Soul (November). 1993 Awarded a Grammy as Danish Female Singer of the Year for My Kindred Spirit (August). 1994 Released the album Misty Paradise. Performed for Pope Johannes Paul II and nearly half a million people in Italy. 1995 Released the compilation album Best Of Hanne Boel. 1996 Looked for new challenges and started a close collaboration with arranger Ole Hansen and songwriter Martin Hall. Released the album Silent Violence (September), which was mixed by Bob Clearmountain, one of the top names in the branch. 1998 Released the album Need (April) in a new collaboration with Ole Hansen and Martin Hall. Took part in the Jeff Buckley memorial concert at Vega, Copenhagen (June). Performed at the Roskilde Festival and at EXPO 98 in Lisbon, Portugal. Toured around specially selected small clubs in Denmark (November). 1999 Released the live album Strangely Disturbed (March). 2000 with Martin Hall and released the duo album Boel & Hall. 2001 Took part in the 60th birthday arrangement for Bob Dylan in The Grey Hall in Copenhagen (May). 2002 Resumed the collaboration with the producer Poul Bruun and released the album Beware Of The Dog (October). 2004 Released the album Abaco on 27th September. 2005 Toured extensively particularly in Denmark and Norway. 2006 Did some more tours. Moved to Naples, Italy and wrote and recorded the songs for Private Eye 2007 Releases Private Eye on 26th February. 2008 Released A New Kinda Soul on 27th October Related Torrents
