i don't exclusively use crf22.... i use whatever crf value ends up giving me the intended bitrate..... so some movies end up with a higher crf value and some with a much lower one, not all movies are equal, in fact the indiana jones movie i'm encoding right not at crf 22 is 11,000kbps, where as another movie i did at crf 9 ended up at 11,000kbps, so it's all over the place.

i use ps3 capability mode for the lq's as it make is also compatible with older smart tvs or tvs with no smart function aside from being able to read mp4 files. If high profile 4.0 ps3 capablity is used... it works great... anything higher and it breaks, unfortunately i've realized this entirely to late in the game that many of the lq's use 4.1 which explains some of the issues.

it takes me on average 6-12 hours to do a movie using my settings, so i usually just fire up an encode and go to bed, when i wake up it's sometimes done or nearly done.

because crf while producing slightly larger files compared to setting a fixed maximum bitrate, the quality is usually always noticeably better, plus i can do it whenever i like... 2600-2800kbps video bitrate is pretty reasonable for LQ... and 9000-11000 for HQ

Aspect ratio 2.40:1 is why, the film would need to be 1.78:1 in order to be full screen which this film is not made available in.

the 3D version of the film has SOME scene in which are 1.78:1, but the movie shifts from 2.40:1 and back again, just like dark knight or dark knight rises.

again there is no "imax" version. Those are mislabelled torrents, using the 3D single eye which has plenty of it's own issues (intended to be viewed with the other eye video content overlayed).

Guardians comes in 2 versions, 3D and 2D.... the 3D has full 1.78:1 and 2.40:1 ratio aspects that change throughout the film. The 2D version contains the same imax scenes, but everything is formatted to remain 2.40:1.

So neither version is "imax" or you could say BOTH are imax.

there is NO 2D "IMAX" edition.

I think someone thinks that guy or "male" dominant movies filled with fast action and such.

Basically a stereotypical preconception that "woman" do not enjoy these movies.

Chick flic "genre" for example is just about as "sexist" a statement unfortunately... I really don't like to refer to them as there are just as many men that likely like them.

Really wish personally Gender was never referred to a type of movie is, as it doesn't actually.

My aunt is a 'die hard' fan of die hard movies.

Actually, she wouldn't see a movie if it didn't have a gun fight, car chase or intense action. It would just bore her.


My mom likes horror, Omen, Exorcist, The Thing, The Conjuring and many more are her favorites.

one gender isn't more inclined then the other, this was the stereotype and the environmental perpetuated stigma from society that still continues to put gender differences up front yet try to keep it out of sight. Just because a few people you may know that re woman follow what you may have for a prejudice view of what women want/like and do, doesn't mean they all or even a majority do, you can't know this. And with that attitude when you see men enjoy the same thing, it doesn't automatically make them feminine or gay (ish). Just like a woman enjoying the stereotype that men enjoy all action or blood and gore, that they are masculine and/or lesbian with male dominance.

A lot of the psychology that were taught in universities and schools are being chucked out the window because we are learning that gender is playing less and less of an accurate roll in determining the wants/needs/loves/hates of a persons character. Insisting that they remaining stereotyped is incorrect, and never valid even when a single or a few do happen to fit into that said stereo type, that's just statistical outcomes to be expected, not actually accurate.
