All the beats were processed using gates and filters to add a choppy, urgent edge.
We also employed a thick layer of reverb and delay with some occasional down-
pitching to add oomph. We used quite a lot of traditional gated reverb for effect,
courtesy of our battered Peavey Universe 2.

The impacts were created by layering things like kick drums, Foley, noise, then processing
them with huge washes of reverb. The stings are similar but feature sounds that have
been reversed, modulated and messed with.

There’s synth material such as sound beds, scapes, electronic loops and pads, made with a
mixture of hardware and software mono and poly synths, and drenched with effects like
panning, filtering and delay.

There’s also a collection of ‘scene setters’ that mix non-synth sounds like electric bass and
strings with synthesised tones and riffs, creating something that mixes up familiar and modern
takes on the soundtrack genre.
