DescriptionArtist - Greg Howe Gregory "Greg" Howe (born December 8, 1963) is an American guitarist and composer. As an active musician for nearly thirty years, he has released eight studio albums in addition to collaborating with a wide variety of artists. Howe played guitar from the age of 10 and by his late teens was playing semi-professionally at various clubs and sometimes leading his own rock band, which included his brother, Al Howe, as lead singer. He made his record debut for Shrapnel Records in 1988, leading a trio with bass player Billy Sheehan and drummer Atma Anur. The album attracted attention and boosted awareness and engagements. Playing an intriguing mix of ‘shred guitar’ hard rock, jazz, funk, and other contemporary pop sounds, Howe’s subsequent albums all did well and he gained a good national following. His audience base widened considerably in 1996 when he toured internationally with Michael Jackson’s HIStory, backed Enrique Iglesias on tours through Europe and the USA in the new millennium, and followed this with a 2002 tour with *NSYNC, and in 2003 with Justin Timberlake. Additionally, he worked with Victor Wooten on the all-star Extraction. In addition to these tours as sideman, Howe also led his own groups on tour. In 1989 and again in 1990, Howe recorded two albums as Howe II with his brother Al Howe (vocals), Vern Parsons (bass) and Joe Nevolo (drums), High Gear and Now Hear This respectively. Among the musicians with whom Howe has worked are keyboard player Vitalij Kurij, guitarist Prashant Aswani, bass player Dale Fischer, and drummer Kevin Soffera. Aside from performing, Howe, who also plays percussion, presents guitar clinics and has worked on a number of instructional music videos. A noteworthy technician, Howe brings a strong sense of commitment to all that he does. Album - Hyperacuity Year - 2000 Genre - Progressive Jazz Fusion 1. Hyperacuity (5:54) 2.
