@ghsfr33d0m - Thanks for your comment. I run Linux but had no idea how to open this type of file. I was on the point of deleting it and had come back here to (sort of) complain about the torrent.

You're right, though - this isn't a taxing thing to do for any Linux user and I welcome your instruction.\n

A more commonplace archive would have been even easier to deal with, though.

Opening the .uif archive was dead easy with uif2iso and all books were extracted successfully. Rather than seed this format, I may well upload it in .zip or another, more readily accessible archive structure, especially if it turns out that .uif only saves 100Mb.

Great torrent, recommended dl. uif file format is less then desirable, as it only saves about 100 megs of size. In Linux run

sudo apt-get install uif2iso\n

to install uif2iso\n

then\n

uif2iso Great Popular Science Audio Books Collection.uif Great Popular Science Audio Books Collection.iso\n

or generally \n

uif2iso source.uif dest.iso\n

to get an iso. It is easy to extract the iso from that point. Something like 'extract here' for example.\n

The books are really great though, still very much recommend the dl. The above is not challenging.
