Grace Mitchell - Raceday

Grace Mitchell spent her early adolescence shuttling between Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, having written her first song at the age of eight. In 2013, she broke the surface with a clever, slantwise cover of Hall & Oates’ classic single “Maneater” for Ben Stiller’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty soundtrack. In 2014, she holed up with Mark Foster of Foster the People to produce Race Day, an EP that blends pop immediacy with just enough abstraction to push her forms forward.
