Stéphane Douay and Hugues Fléchard invite you to follow their strange hero on his journey of discovery. Alone, lost in an enormous spaceship, one man tries to understand. One day, as he wanders the corridors of the huge vessel, he discovers a gigantic fresco (created and painted by Irène Häfliger, a young artist from Caen!) The fresco recounts the history pf the ship. Little by little, our hero pieces together the fragments of the puzzle. The fresco was painted by robots, before they ran out of energy and shut down. The ship's vast engine has been seriously damaged. The sole survivor, our protagonist in the only one who can start it working again. But there may be even more to it than that... is it possible that he is actually the creator of this world-sized ship?

Ambitious and startling, "Dark Matter" is a remarkable invitation to the exploration of the vast unknown. The creators, Stéphane Douay (who received recognition for his "Don Quixote," published by Vents d'Ouest) and Hugues Fléchard, invite you to accompany their hero's explorations step by step, from his initial awakening to the final revelation. Each volume of the three-part "Dark Matter" will be a complete self-contained story, as well as forming part of a larger deep-space saga.
