No, 4:3 was the standard ratio for Fox films until "The Robe," released in September 1953. "Blondes" was released in August 1953, the month before! Monroe's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" number may also have been shot in CinemaScope as a test and number to show investors - that story has been going around for years - but the no footage has ever been found. But Fox did some tests with stereo sound before "The Robe" - I believe "The Day The Earth Stood Still" had a test stereo mix.
