Could never get it to work. Said the file was too large so I tried downloading it to an external HD and it still was to large!

works like a charm! thanks. If you are having trouble, download the files and then changed the name of the downloaded gmapsupp file to gmapprom. Then plug in your garmin into your computer and find the gmapprom file in the root directory and delete it (make a b/u copy first just in case something goes wrong) Then move the new gmapprom to the garmin by dragging it over.
