Description
From Normandy To Berlin: Canada At War:
The Invasion of Normandy was the invasion and establishment of Allied forces in Normandy, France, during Operation Overlord in 1944 during World War II. It was the largest amphibious operation ever to take place. Allied land forces that saw combat in Normandy on 6 June came from Canada, the Free French Forces, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In the weeks following the invasion, Polish forces also participated, as well as contingents from Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Greece, and the Netherlands.[4] Most of the above countries also provided air and naval support, as did the Royal Australian Air Force, the Royal New Zealand Air Force,[nb 1] and the Royal Norwegian Navy.[1] The Normandy invasion began with overnight parachute and glider landings, massive air attacks and naval bombardments. In the early morning, amphibious landings on five beaches codenamed Juno, Gold, Omaha, Utah, and Sword began and during the evening the remaining elements of the parachute divisions landed. The "D-Day" forces deployed from bases along the south coast of England, the most important of these being Portsmouth.[5] General Complete name : From Normandy To Berlin-Canada at War _ HovermanNormandy To Berlin_Hoverman.mp4 Format : MPEG-4 Format profile : Base Media Codec ID : isom File size : 754 MiB Duration : 1h 12mn Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 1 461 Kbps Movie name : NORMANDY_TO_PARIS Writing application : Lavf54.46.100 Video ID : 1 Format : MPEG-4 Visual Format settings, BVOP : No Format settings, QPel : No Format settings, GMC : No warppoints Format settings, Matrix : Default (H.263) Codec ID : 20 Duration : 1h 12mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 1 302 Kbps Width : 720 pixels Height : 540 pixels Display aspect ratio : 4:3 Frame rate mode : Constant Frame rate : 29.970 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Compression mode : Lossy Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.112 Stream size : 672 MiB (89%) Writing library : Lavc54.79.100 Audio ID : 2 Format : AAC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Format profile : LC Codec ID : 40 Duration : 1h 12mn Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 152 Kbps Maximum bit rate : 224 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 44.1 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 78.5 MiB (10%) General Complete name : From Normandy To Berlin-Canada at War _ HovermanFrom Normandy To Berlin-The Final Battles_Hoverman.mp4 Format : MPEG-4 Format profile : Base Media Codec ID : isom File size : 1.32 GiB Duration : 2h 9mn Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 1 459 Kbps Movie name : THE_FINAL_BATTLES Writing application : Lavf54.46.100 Video ID : 1 Format : MPEG-4 Visual Format settings, BVOP : No Format settings, QPel : No Format settings, GMC : No warppoints Format settings, Matrix : Default (H.263) Codec ID : 20 Duration : 2h 9mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 1 301 Kbps Width : 720 pixels Height : 540 pixels Display aspect ratio : 4:3 Frame rate mode : Constant Frame rate : 29.970 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Compression mode : Lossy Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.112 Stream size : 1.17 GiB (89%) Writing library : Lavc54.79.100 Audio ID : 2 Format : AAC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Format profile : LC Codec ID : 40 Duration : 2h 9mn Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 152 Kbps Maximum bit rate : 224 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 44.1 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 140 MiB (10%) Great Documentary to learn Canada's involvement in the Second World War Covers from both the Box Set and DVD's are all in the torrent as well.
