Flash Professional 8.0, curated here, is the rippling musculature underneath the gaudy, fatty, and graceless versions we've seen since CS6. Like some has-been Superhero.

It introduced us to the world of filters, crisp bitmap tools, a breathing ActionScript console, truly organized menus, efficient encoding, easy importing, 8-bit alpha channel support, genius text-rendering, timeline easing, streamlined workflow, CD-Quality audio (with masterful compression options).

The minimum system requirements to professionally kick ass were 256MB RAM (1GB was recommended for multi-tasking with Photoshop or other Studio 8 products), an 800-MHz CPU, and at least a 16-bit (recommended 32-bit) display. It used 700 MB of disk space and required at least Windows 2000.

Runs groovy on Windows 7.
