As FiLiBuStA continues a mission to "restore progressive and melodic elements of glitch and dubstep" to electronica, his new "Set Lasers to Funk" EP takes on the next wave of glitch funk. With his wicked sense sense for psychedelic sounds and sampling prowess, these groovy beats mesh modern mastery with some infectious, classic style.

Seven tracks of funky goodness start with "Break It Down," a nice electro soul jam with catchy breakdowns. A master of easy grooves, "Did You Know" is pure comfort music. "High Roller" breaks open the dance floor like a disco anthem with magical, electro glitch wobbles. It's followed by a similar style with "Let It Ride." "No Handouts" and "Wild Wild West" weave in and out of tasty rhythms and memorable samples, while "What We're Gonna Do" proves the self-taught guitarist is an evolving monster - shredding and throwing down massive glitch that can't be tamed.
