Those interested in reading an accurate (not "faithful") translation should consider the NET Bible. The NET Bible appears to be produced without any attempt by the translators' to push their own beliefs. It also contains numerous notes about the translation itself to help readers better understand the original text and rationale behind the translation.

Note that I do not agree with the theological teachings of the bible.org people. I am merely acknowledging the excellent job they did while avoiding allowing their dogma to affect their work, which is difficult to find among Bible translations.

The files in this torrent are available for download on the Evidence Bible Homepage. The PDFs appear to be the NKJV, professionally designed and produced, with explanatory footnotes and call-out boxes. The explanations are interesting; however they are obviously theologically biased.
