Playing back the original feed transport stream:
MS Media player: There's neither image nor sound playing the original feed.
VLC: Severe colour issues.
MPC: Some jump issues. No colour issues.

Playing back my 1080i re-encode:
MS Media player: Same as original.
VLC: Same colour issues as with the original.
MPC: No colour issues. No discernible image/sound sync issues at the end.


Media player MPC comparison original with re-encoded file. If you want to count each individual hair on Måns' chin, this is not the reencode for you.
