Eumir Deodato de Almeida (Rio de Janeiro, 22 giugno 1943) è un pianista, compositore, arrangiatore e produttore discografico brasiliano.

Premiato con il Grammy Award, principalmente impegnato nel genere jazz ma storicamente conosciuto per eclettiche fusioni tra big band e gruppi jazz con diversi membri della scena pop, rock,

R&B/funk, Latina brasiliana, e musica sinfonica o d'orchestra. Principalmente, la sua musica può essere considerata pop/jazz o crossover jazz. Il suo successo come artista originale (alle

tastiere) si realizzò negli anni settanta. Da allora, ha prodotto più di 500 album per artisti che spaziano dai Kool and the Gang a Björk e k.d. lang. Sua figlia, Kennya Deodato, è sposata

con l'attore americano Stephen Baldwin.

Eumir Deodato (Brazilian Portuguese: " ẽʊ̃ˈmiχ djoˈdatu ") (full name Eumir Deodato de Almeida, born 21 June 1943, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian pianist, composer, record producer and

arranger, primarily based in the jazz realm but who historically has been known for eclectic melding of big band and combo jazz with varied elements of rock/pop, R&B/funk, Brazilian/Latin,

and symphonic or orchestral music. Mainly, his records can be categorized as pop/jazz or crossover jazz. His successes as an original artist (keyboards) occurred mainly in the 1970s. Since

then, he has produced or arranged music in more than 500 albums for acts ranging from Kool and the Gang to Björk, Christophe and k.d. lang. His daughter, Kennya Deodato, is married to

American actor Stephen Baldwin
