so this is one of the first few movies that utilizes the future standard x265. I hope it does a better job than x264.
Why this version (with new encoding in hevc) has lower bitrate than the x264 version? Is this version in real x265? Why "Bitrate ............: 7201 kbps (x264 High@L4.1)" x264?
This x265 version:
Bitrate ............: 7201 kbps (x264 High@L4.1)
Size ...............: 10.0 GB
The x264 version:
Bitrate ............: 9497 kbps (x264 High@L4.1)
Size ...............: 11.9 GB
The x264 seems better in terms of quality/size ratio!
Shouldn't x265 allow you to compress up to almost 4 times?
To put 4k (4 times the resolution of FullHD) movies in present blurays. Am I wrong? Thanks!
with the better compression ratio it is not needed
