TRAMA:

Per affrontare il rientro del marito dopo un periodo di detenzione, Emily Taylor decide di combattere la sua depressione affidandosi alle cure di uno specialista. Prova quindi una serie di farmaci, dei quale l'ultimo, l'Ablixa è determinante: infatti, una sera, non appena Martin torna a casa, lei, immersa in un apparente stato di sonnambulismo, lo accoltella a morte. Le prove sono chiare, e dichiarano che sia stata certamente Emily l'assassino; tuttavia non viene incriminata, poiché non ricorda nulla ed era quindi incosciente delle sue azioni. Così, passa in un istituto di salute mentale, in misura preventiva. Il Dr. Banks, che l'aveva in cura al momento del delitto, deve combattere col senso di colpa di aver provocato la morte di Martin, prescrivendo a Emily l'Ablixa. Fin da principio, il dottore non è certo dell'innocenza di Emily e, dopo aver scoperto alcune verità sul suo conto, comincia a indagare, per giungere a scoprire la vera natura e i motivi dell'omicidio.

STORYLINE:

Emily Taylor, despite being reunited with her husband from prison, becomes severely depressed with emotional episodes and suicide attempts. Her psychiatrist, Jonathan Banks, after conferring with her previous doctor, eventually prescribes an experimental new medication called Ablixa. The plot thickens when the side effects of the drug lead to Emily killing her husband in a "sleepwalking" state. With Emily plea-bargained into mental hospital confinement and Dr. Banks' practice crumbling around him, the case seems closed. However, Dr. Banks cannot accept full responsibility and investigates to clear his name. What follows is a dark quest that threatens to tear what's left of his life apart even as he discovers the diabolical truth of this tragedy.
