Considering these works were ripped from a CD which itself was created from much older kinds of recording media, the sound quality is excellent.

The main complaint among Amazon reviewers of the CD is that the volume is too low to be heard clearly in a moving vehicle. I haven't tested that but the volume was perfectly adequate for listening in a room.
