DescriptionEarly Modern Europe eBooks Collection Infomation Early Modern Europe is the term used by historians to refer to a period in the history of Europe (especially Western Europe and Central Europe) which spanned the centuries between the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, roughly the late 15th century to the late 18th century. The early modern period is often considered to have begun with such events as the invention of moveable type printing in the 1450s; the Fall of Constantinople in 1453; the end of the Wars of the Roses in 1485; the Voyages of Christopher Columbus and the completion of the Reconquista in 1492 or the start of the Protestant Reformation in 1517. Its end point is often linked with the outset of the French Revolution in 1789, or with the more nebulous origins of industrialism in late 18th century Britain. Some of the more notable events of the early modern period included the Reformation and the religious conflicts it provoked (including the French Wars of Religion and the Thirty Years' War), the European colonization of the Americas and the peak of the European witch-hunt phenomenon Files: A PDF collection of 336 eBooks about Early Modern Europe eBooks are sorted on publisher's name American School of Classical Studies Between Venice and Istanbul, Colonial Landscapes in Early Modern Greece (2007).pdf Amsterdam University Press The Making of the Humanities Vol. 1, Early Modern Europe (2010) (no OCR).pdf Amsterdam University Press The Prison Experience, Disciplinary Institutions and Their Inmates in Early Modern Europe (2007).pdf Ashgate Publishing A History of Intelligence and Intellectual Disability, The Shaping of Psychology in Early Modern Europe (2011).pdf Ashgate Publishing Anonymity in Early Modern England, What's in a Name (2011).pdf Ashgate Publishing Fathers and Godfathers, Spiritual Kinship in Early-Modern Italy (2009).pdf Ashgate Publishing Genre and Women's Life Writing in Early Modern England (2007).pdf Ashgate Publishing Humanism and the Reform of Sacred Music in Early Modern England (2008).pdf Ashgate Publishing Jewish Identity in Early Modern Germany, Memory Power and Community (2007).pdf Ashgate Publishing Literary Circles and Gender in Early Modern Europe, A Cross-Cultural Approach (2006).pdf Ashgate Publishing Melancholy and the Care of the Soul, Religion Moral Philosophy and Madness in Early Modern England (2007) (no OCR).pdf Ashgate Publishing Natural Law and Laws of Nature in Early Modern Europe, Jurisprudence Theology Moral and Natural Philosophy (2008).pdf Ashgate Publishing Popular Medicine, Hysterical Disease and Social Controversy in Shakespeare's England (2010).pdf Ashgate Publishing Radical Comedy in Early Modern England, Contexts Cultures Performances (2008).pdf Ashgate Publishing Sex and Satiric Tragedy in Early Modern England, Penetrating Wit (2009).pdf Ashgate Publishing The Cartographic Imagination in Early Modern England, Re-writing the World in Marlowe Spenser Raleigh and Marvell (2008).pdf Ashgate Publishing The Culture of Cloth in Early Modern England, Textual Constructions of a National Identity (2008).pdf Ashgate Publishing The Monarchical Republic of Early Modern England, Essays in Response to Patrick Collinson (2007).pdf Ashgate Publishing With Words and Knives, Learning Medical Dispassion in Early Modern England (2007).pdf Associated University Press Envisioning the Worst, Representations of 'Hottentots' in Early-Modern England (2001).pdf Berg Publishing Orientalism in Early Modern France, Eurasian Trade Exoticism and the Ancient Regime (2008).pdf Blackwell Publishing Early Modern Europe, Issues and Interpretations (2006).pdf Boydell Press Britain, Hanover and the Protestant Interest 1688-1756 (2006).pdf Boydell Press Godly Reformers and their Opponents in Early Modern England, Religion in Norwich 1560-1643 (2005).pdf Boydell Press Prophecy, Politics and the People in Early Modern England (2006).pdf Boydell Press Royalism, Print and Censorship in Revolutionary England (2007).pdf Brill Publishing Between Scylla and Charybdis, Learned Letter Writers Navigating the Reefs of Religious and Political Controversy in Early Modern Europe (2011).pdf Sharing Widget |
