Description

Yamaha Hybrid Custom Kit sees the veteran UK soundware developer
sampling drummer/producer Ben Hillier’s (Depeche Mode, Blur, the Magic
Numbers, Elbow) drum kit, which resides at Miloco’s The Pool studio,
comprising Maple Custom, Birch Custom and Ludwig drums, alongside a
set of Zildjian cymbals.

The samples – played by session drummer Adam Falkner and recorded by
engineer Ben Thackeray – cover 32 articulations at up to 16 velocity
layers, and as well as the raw WAV files, you get sampler presets
mapped in the following formats: Native Instruments Battery, Kontakt 5
and Maschine; Ableton Live 9 Rack; Apple EXS24; FXpansion Geist;
iZotope iDrum; and PreSonus Impact.

It all adds up to an awesome multisampled kit ready to be played via
keyboard or e-drums, or programmed manually.
