 Drive SnapShot 1.43.0.17827 + Portable + Key [4realtorrentz].zip4.63 MB

Description

Drive Snapshot creates an exact Disk Image of your system into a file, including the operating system, installed programs, your data and all security attributes while windows is running and you continue to work.

If desaster strikes (a virus, trojan, or hard disk crash), a complete and exact restauration of your system will be possible in only few minutes.

The image file can be mounted as a virtual drive, so you can easily restore (or use) single files or directories, using the Windows Explorer, or other program (e.g. WINDIFF).

You will only need to restart to DOS if restoring your system partition is required. Otherwise there is no need to reboot – not even during installation.

Drive Snapshot saves only the use disk space, compresses the data and is extremly fast a P4/2GHz will save approx. 1GByte/Minute on a local disk drive.

Whats New:

- Support for Windows 8, 8.1, 2012, 2012 R2
- Support of GPT Partitions

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7/8

Instructions:

1. Unpack and install
2. Use a given key to register
3. Restart
4. Done.

I think that is per data written, not read. It does pretty good compression. This is a pretty nice utility for backing up / restoring smaller partitions (which is how I make my system and app partitions). If you have terabytes to backup though, a LTO-6 tape drive setup would be nice. This is the only 'ghost' like utility that I know of that can exclude file types and directories and is really small and portable. Only lacking in 'Diskpart' like tools, but I hope he is working towards that.
1 GB/minute is about what I get just in disk-to-disk copying here using TeraCopy. Turns out it's not drive or controller that's the problem, just CPU (3.06 GHz Core2 Duo). That's going to be replaced today or tomorrow with a Core2 Quad, albeit 2.67 GHz. I don't expect much change though, just better multitasking while imaging/snapshotting the drvies.
