Same goes for me. It opens in the task manager, then shuts down.

I did it!!! I have da:i running. I have a notebook with i5 6gb ram and geforce 740m, the rare thing is that i accidentally clicked on "run with integrated graphics" and game started O.O (WTF) so the problem could be nvidia video cards. Now i'll try to figure out what's going on here cause i have my video card drivers updated.

For all people who has problems with the game, try these.

BEFORE INSTALLING/RUNNING THE GAME:
- VERY IMPORTANT: when u download the crack, if ur Anti-virus is turned ON, it WILL delete the "3dmgame.dll", leaving u with the origin pop up.

- if u downloaded the game but some files got lost, try doing a force recheck on the torrent and it will redownload the lost files

FOR ALL THOSE GETTING dragonage.exe RUNNING IN THE TASK MANAGER BUT NOTHING HAPPENING
-according to user ner0:
"For some of the people not able to play and having DragonAgeInquisition.exe appear and disappear from the task manager, with no pop-up window or error whatsoever, it can probably be solved by disabling Safe Boot Control in the BIOS. Whatever the relation to the CPU ID or how the crack interacts I don't really know... but it has worked successfuly for a few people."

INSTALLING THE GAME:
- installed and copy update and crack to game's directory

- now select all ur game files and open properties and UNCHECK READ ONLY.

- Run the game as admin from the 3DM Launcher, not the dragon-age-inquisition.exe otherwise ull get face-palmed by an origin pop-up. again.

- someone said that they tried running the game form a portable drive and it worked for them. Try that maybe.

- If it doesn't start and all u see is dragonageinquisition.exe in the task manager, try launching after disabling your antivirus. Still if this doesnt get resolved then maybe it has to do with the crack.

- Do not forget to install these 3 components:
1. directx
2. visual c++ redistributable
3. .netframework.

AFTER SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHING THE GAME:

- frame rates and lag can be improved by getting the latest AMD & nvidia drivers.

- if u are getting crashes remember that this game is buggy.

- cutscene stuttering. U can try two things:
1: Go to where you installed Dragon Age: Inquisition and right click on the main .exe then make a shortcut to desktop. Right click on shortcut select Properties.In the Target Directory Box navigate all the way to the end press the Spacebar and Paste
-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+
2: open 3dmgame.ini in your main install directory with notepad and u will see something like this:
[Settings]
ExeName=DragonAgeInquisition.exe
at the end of above line press the Spacebar and Paste -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

- shiny hair + no scar - accroding to user Super_10:
"For the people who are facing the non scar and the shiny hair this is the fix :
1 Open the 3dmgame.ini file and add this command line so it will all be like this :
[Settings]
ExeName=DragonAgeInquisition - -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High
2 edit your meshes option in the game to high"

IF YOU HAVE LONG LOADING SCREEN TRY THIS AS WELL

NVIDIA: GO TO DRAGON AGE DISPLAY SETTINGS AND TURN OFF VSYNC. NEXT, GO TO NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL > MANAGE 3D SETTINGS > THEN ON GLOBAL/PROGRAM SETTINGS, TURN ON VSYNC AND TRIPLE BUFFERING. AND ALSO DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE POWER MANAGEMENT MODE TO PREFER MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE, IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE IT YET.

AMD : IDK, I HAVE NO IDEA ON CATALYST. JUST SEARCH FOR THE VSYNC SETTINGS IN THERE IF YOU'RE SUFFERING FROM THE SAME PROBLEM.

Thanks for the nVidia Control Panel tip. I had a similar problem with Skyrim back in the day, and turning on Triple Buffering saved my cake there.
