Double Dare (Dennis Potter, 1976) (Size: 599.11 MB)
Description
'The development of this play began when Potter, suffering from writer's block, invited actress Kika Markham to a London hotel for a discussion that turned out to centre on the relationship between writer and actor. Potter's position was that the actor was basically a prostitute, doing whatever he or she was paid to do.
'This turned into a script about an actress (played by Kika Markham) who meets a blocked writer (Alan Dobie) in a London hotel to discuss the nature of the relationship between writer and actor! Their relationship is (not surprisingly) paralleled by that of a call girl and her customer who meet in the same hotel bar.' Sharing Widget |
