The Complete Studio Albums 1978-1991 brings together all six of Dire Straits‘ distinguished studio albums, starting off with the band’s breakout debut Dire Straits (1978) through to Communique (1979), Making Movies (1980), Love Over Gold (1982) and commercial apex Brothers In Arms (1985), and closing out with On Every Street (1991) which was the band’s last before they disbanded and Knopfler departed on a successful solo career.
All six of the albums have been re-mastered for vinyl by Bob Ludwig, cut at Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed at Pallas, Germany on beautiful 180g vinyl. The CD running order with full length versions of the tracks have been restored to Brothers In Arms and On Every Street, now presented as a 2xLP sets, while the additional four albums in the 8xLP box set will be single LP pressings. With all original artwork restored, the six albums featured in The Complete Studio Albums 1978-1991 are packaged in a handsome box set slipcase. All albums also come complete with download cards and are available as a strictly limited edition. VINYL FORMAT.
