Description


We’ll start by breaking down our reference and understanding all the different components that make up the weapon. We’ll then move on to modeling the lower receiver, handle and magazine utilizing an edge modeling workflow. Throughout this entire process, you’ll learn about Blender’s wide range of modeling tools and the vital shortcuts that can speed up your workflow significantly.

Once all the main pieces of the gun are completed, we’ll move onto the various attachments like the red dot sight and the flashlight. As well as learn how we can use Blender’s NURBS path tool to create things like wires, cords and straps. Finally, we’ll learn about the techniques involved for maintaining the look of a hard surface when smoothing it with Blender’s Subdivision Surface modifier.

By the end of this Blender training, you’ll have learned hard surface modeling techniques you can use in your next project.
