Description

In this course, we’ll be making our own sci-fi fictional user interface (FUI) for a spaceship. We’ll use After Effects with the Trapcode Form plugin to give it some amazing particle animation.
First we’ll use Form to create the wavy line of an oscilloscope. We’ll use Quick Maps in Form to make a planet materialize out of a field of particles, scan for life over that planet and have those particles replaced by an alien. Finally, we’ll learn how to use custom particles in Form and expressions to add more details to our user interface.
After following along with this After Effects tutorial, you'll understand some key concepts for creating your own fictional user interfaces.
