Long, long ago, way back in the early 1990s our ABC-TV here in Australia had a live saturday night late night comedy show, (like SNL without commercials), which ran for a number of years until those involved moved on to other things.

One week they showed this documentary: The Devil At Your Heels a 1981 documentary that chronicles the attempt of the stuntman and daredevil Ken Carter to jump a rocket-powered car over the Saint Lawrence River, a distance of one mile, which would break all existing records for jumping cars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devil_at_Your_Heels
