"Demoni I & II soundtracks - remastered" Review!
In 1985, Lamberto Brava directed the first of the Dario Argento produced Horror films, "Demoni" featuring this great soundtrack with film music from Claudio Simonetti and the creme de la creme of Heavy Rock that year: Mötley Crüe, Saxon, Pretty Maids & Accept; together with Rick Springfield and Billy Idol. Then in 1986, part II featured more of a New Wave line-up led by bands like - The Smiths, Gene Loves Jezebel & Fields Of The Nephilim with The Cult and Love & Rockets being the only passable Heavy Rock candidates. Still, together they make for an interesting listen, so check them out in this the Argento month of September. Happy belated birthday to Dario from the 7th, and today's (September 20) birthday girl, the lovely, sexy and sadly already taken, Asia Argento! P.S. - Contrary to popular opinion, the song, "Dynamite", by Scorpions is not heard in the film, etc. Keep on Rockin'! - Rick Wilson, former Rock Radio Journalist with Radio Canale Grandé.
