Description
Deep Purple is the third studio album by Deep Purple [MK I], released in 1969 on Harvest Records in the UK and on Tetragrammaton in the US. It was to be the last album with the original lineup.
The songs have a progressive rock feel that verges on classical music, particularly in the long introductory sequence of the 12-minute final track "April". All tracks on the album are band originals except for "Lalena", which is a cover of a Donovan song. The original painting is in colour although it appears in monochrome here due to a printing error for the original layout and the band opted to keep it that way. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ritchie Blackmore - guitar Rod Evans - lead vocals Nick Simper - bass, backing vocals Jon Lord - Hammond organ, keyboards, backing vocals Ian Paice - drums Related Torrents
