Kakumeiki Valvrave is a Japanese Mecha anime series produced by Sunrise. It is directed by Kō Matsuo, written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, who wrote Code Geass and the anime adaptation of Angelic Layer, and features character designs by Katsura Hoshino, the writer and artist of D.Gray-man.[1] The series premiered on MBS (Animeism block) on April 12, 2013.[2] The anime is streamed with English subtitles by Crunchyroll.[3] The anime series has been licensed in North America by Aniplex of America.

True Calendar (T.C.) 71: a new age where 70% of the human population lives in space. Haruto Tokishima lived an ordinary life as a high school student in the neutral country of JIOR's module 77, but just as he is about to convey his feelings to his childhood friend Shōko Sashinami, the Dorssia Military Pact Federation launches and attack on their nation, and when Shōko is apparently killed in the attack, Haruto boards the state-of-the art mecha "Valvrave" to enact his revenge. But before activating the machine, the control panel of the cockpit displays him a question; "Will you renounce your humanity?".
