Cyclick Samples - Synth Icons [WAV | NKI] -Sin

This collection focusses on the two synths staples: bass and pads. On the bass
side we have a selection of bass lines from six sources across seven tempos:
95, 105, 120, 125, 130, 140 & 140bpm. The pads are in chord hit form, with eight
chord shapes in all white note keys from five sources.

There is also a folder of synth drum hits generated by a Pearl SY-1 Syncussion
drum synth. There was no time to collate these into a Kontakt instrument,
but loading them into any sampler and giving them a proper mangle
(stretch, pitch-shift, distort, etc.) can produce sonic marvels thanks to the
simplicity of the waveforms (the SY-1 only has two oscillators).

The raw sources are from the Novation BassStation, K2600 and Arturia synths,
all of which have been processed first in the analogue domain with the ART and
BSS compressors and Arsenal Audio R24 EQ, and then finished in the DAW with plugins
(mainly UAD Neve 1081, ATR102 tape, EL7 Fatso Snr, Eventide Blackhole,
Soundtoys Microshift, Decapitator and PhaseMistress).

The basses have been multisampled and are available as Kontakt 5 instruments**.
The pad chords have also been collated into Kontakt instruments with an octave
per chord from C0 to B7 - I find this a great way to lay chords, as it is easier
to jump around progressions in a semi-random fashion.

** The Kontakt instruments (created in version 5) feature a ladder LPF assigned
to CC74, an 4-pole HPF assigned to CC01 (Mod Wheel), and an AmpMod LFO (Ramp Up Saw)
controlled by Aftertouch.
