Cyclick Samples - Stereo Percussion [WAV] -Sin

Loops, loops, loops...586 to be exact (320 from synth sources, 266 from shaky/hitty things). A selection of
tambourines, shakers, cowbells, woodblocks, bongoes, hand drums, and other assorted acoustic percussion
as well as some synth-generated percussive hits have been assembled into loops and processed through
four main effects chains to add stereo width and movement. The loops are split by source (Hand and Synth)
and tempo: 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 160 and 170bpm.

The four effects chains used were created with a combination of digital and analogue processes..well, all the
effects were digital, but some were accessed in the analogue domain with the odd dollop of outboard
compression and EQ.

The processes can be explained as follows:
ChopPanMS – The main elements are a 100% full depth stereo tremolo effect encoded into M/S and then
processed with a stereo panner and compressed heavy on the Mid, light on the Sides. This essentially
pulsates between the Mid and Sides to throw the balance over accentuate the stereo field in a rhythmic
fashion. Once decoded back from M/S to stereo the signal was then given a touch of ambience and
compression/EQ to glue it back together.

EchoPan – An alternating series of echoes, autopanners and ping pong delays are used to create the width
and movement here. Also a little stereo enhancement and M/S compression to squash the Mid down a tad.

RhyPan – Two or more autopanners and stereo tremolo effects are mixed with a simple delay, bookended
with stereo width enhancements.

XtraWide – Multiple stereo enhancement effects mixed in with a bit of ambience reverb and M/S
compression to eek out the width without getting too 'zingy' from stacked short delay resonances.
