Cyclick Samples - Electro Drone [WAV | NKI] -Sin

Heavy drone has been the order of the month, taking an electronic take on the drone/doom style (Sunn O))),
Earth, etc.). The result is ten synth sourced drone instruments (well 9 and 1 sampled harmonium) that make
up a loop and mutlisample instrument set.

Four of the instruments were a hybrid of synth and analog/reamping. Doomension, Heaver, Monolitha, and
Threatmosfear were all created by reamping the ARP2600v softsynth through the following chain: Orion32--

>Sennheiser MD421 mic-->VP26 preamp-->Orion32. These were recorded very loud with both amps close
together. Plenty of distortion was produced along the way, particularly from overdriving the amp input stages.
The loops produced with these instruments are edited out of long passes and so are not seamless loops,
though they have been edited to not clip.

The other six instruments utilised the ARP2600v and XILS 3 synths as sources and then heavily processed
in serial and parallel. The parallel paths consisted of two hard panned mono filter and delay chains (UAD
Moog Filter and Soundtoys Little Primal Tap) and a stereo raverb (UAD EMT140 plate with pre-EQ and post-
compression). The source and parallel FX chains were grouped through a chain of reverbs, EQ,
compression and harmonic distortion (Soundtoys Decapitator). A tough of stereo width enhancement was
used occasionally. These loops have been edited to loop seamlessly, but this means the starts and ends of
the files will clip if played as a single event – fade in the first and fade out the last and you're good to go.

All the instruments have two loops in the tempo folders and a multisample in the Instruments folder. The
instrument multisamples have been collated into Kontakt instruments (version 5) and have a highpass filter
assigned to the Mod Wheel (MIDI CC#01), a lowpass assigned to MIDI CC#74, and an amplitude modulation
LFO assigned to Aftertouch.
