This cd by Cybertribe Sacred Memories is amazing, you would have to go back to the orignal cd released called
"Sacred Memories of the Future" inside the cd cover there is a saying for the world
"The Earth has Music, for those who listen"
It is the same with this cd, this is an artist called John Deere, the sounds are for the new age, people who care about the planet! Listen to this music and feel you chakras open and clear!
The BONUS tracks "saved the day.", September 15, 2003
After listening to Cybertribe's album "Immortality," I was reluctant to even try this newer release. I found "Immortality" to be quite bland, with each track sounding like the one before it, and most tracks being very monotonous. The only stand-out track was track 1, "Welcome to the Journey" (which I really liked).
Sacred Memories offers up more of the same on the first 8 tracks, with the exception of tracks 1 and 6 which both featured one of my favorites instruments, the shakihachi flute. Those 2 were very listenable. Then I came to track 9, the first "bonus track," and was pleasantly surprised to hear a song which added much more depth and diversity to their trademark sounds of didgeridoo and vocal chants. I thought I would be let down once track 10 kicked in, but was again delighted to hear sounds that tickled the ear. Track 11 was perhaps the best one (though all too short!), and left me wanting more of this "new" Cybertribe sound.
As my title said, the bonus tracks "saved the day," and if the artist (Cybertribe) happens to check out this review, I would appeal to you to start making more like these. If the whole album had been like these the rating would have been 5 stars without a doubt.
Didgeridoo flavored worldbeat rhythms are the main course of this feast for the ears from earthly electronica project Cybertribe. Sacred Memories, a remastered re-release of the 1997 album of the same name, takes indigenous rhythms, Aboriginal chants and melodic flutes and fuses them with an array of trippy ambient textures for an unique, mystifying sound. Producer John Deere's compositional skills are strongest on songs like chilled out Reaching the Ocean, and the album's three exciting new tracks Immortality of Earth, Cruising Bridges and Celebration which have a richer, more complex sound.

It can be, its compilers hint to us at the nezemnoye origin of completely special, mysterious music of Australian aborigines, represented on the disk. But it and actually is so uncommon which simply seizes spirit!
Protagonist in this most fascinating narrative the tool, called didgeridoo. Australian aborigines, who live in the northern part of the continent, use it. Didgeridoo - this is the long wooden pipe, made from the hollow branch of eucalyptus, vyedennoy inside by thermite. Instead of the mouthpiece the aborigines use the beeswax, by which they close up the narrow end of the pipe. And it is necessary to say that didgeridoo izdayet the very characteristic buzzing sounds of a constant frequency, which are obtained with the blowing by the lips of air through it these guttural sounds really as if the echoes of the long ago departed civilizations, which existed on this planet, or messages from the distant, the unknown it is world.
But on the album - is not simple the meeting of music of Australian aborigines. It is addressed to the widest circle of listeners. I want to still say that I very rad: at long last for the review to me fell the disk, released by studio New Earth Records. The fact is that, on my deep belief, of all world companies, which publish new age, this - one the best. The albums, released New Earth Records, completely correspond to the high purpose of the company: this is actual "music for the people in the way", for those, who be situated in the search, who wants to feel through the music something inexpressible, then which relates to the very roots of existence. Prem Joshua, Al gromer Khan, Hariprasad Chaurasia as others of that recording on New Earth Records, this not simply class musicians, these are people, which find in the way, this those, who bear here the aesthetics of new, best peace!
But words will be sufficient. I greatly advise you not to pass "Cybertribe" - ancient music of the Australian aborigines, where the mystical sounds from the distant past call us boldly to go into the unknown future and to the short period to feel the excellent, which was there is no time lost, but it can again revive on this planet!

Immortality is a musical exploration of an alien crash landing in Australia thirty thousand years ago. The record of the landing was contained in a set of petroglyphs discovered by one Captain Frederic Windgate in a cave in Tasmania in 1789. Captain Windgate copied the rock drawings into his journal which Cybertribe's John Deere fortuitously stumbled upon in an antique shop in Amsterdam in 1983. Deere subsequently traveled to Tasmania, found the cave with the petroglyphs, and entered into a psychic journey unlocking the 'memories' of the landing of alien life forms (twenty-five of three hundred beings aboard the ill-fated spacecraft survived the crash). The result of his investigation is an extraordinary musical presentation which is both rapturously beautiful and spiritually deep. Whatever one may think of the story behind the creation of Cybertribe's second recording effort for New Earth Records, the music speaks for itself. The only reason I give this CD 4 stars is due to the fact that it has only 8 songs totaling 49:55 minutes long, and the first and the last are pretty much the same song. Other than that , the music is supreme. It takes your mind on a wonderful hypnotic journey. I have listened to it over and over since I got it. I love it so much that I am going to order all the other selections by this group as soon as I am finished with this review. If you love drum beats and didgeridoo, you will love this CD too.

Some of us like mellow. This music is unique and excellent. I heard it on Astreaux World internet radio several times and really, really enjoy it. Have not heard any of the earlier stuff, might enjoy that also, but this cd definitely works for me.

If you liked Cybertribe's original Immortality AND you like dance music, then you will probably like this CD of remixes. Be warned, however, that most of the exotic instrumentation (ie., didgeridoo) has been downplayed here, appearing only briefly in some songs, in favor of the overpowering dance beat. I wish more of the world music influences of the original songs hadn't been lost in the mix. Overall, it's still a good Hi-NRG dance experience. One complaint, though: in songs 3 and 9, which otherwise are some of the best dance tunes on the album, there is an annoying male voice barking "one, two, one-two-three" in time to the beats which goes on forever. This vocalization is a complete distraction and makes me feel like I'm listening to a rude aerobics instructor intruding in on the songs. Let the beats speak for themselves! Because of this, I'm only giving 4 stars.
