============================ 1) Install PDFCompressorProEval_3_1 2) Copy Patch 1 to program directory where you installed PDRCompressor and apply it. It will patch dtlstats.dll, PdfEnc.dll and registry. 3) Copy Patch 2 to program directory where you installed PDRCompressor and apply it. It will patch pdfbatch.exe. --------------- NOTE: The PDF file after compressing will be *encrypted* and protected from modification. Two methods for removing this encryption. Method 1 ======== If you own Acrobat or any other full-fledged PDF editor, create the PDF file with any password of your choice in the Security option of PDFCompressor. Then open this PDF in Acrobat (or whatever full-fledged PDF editor you own) and remove the security settings using the same password. Method 2 ======== Use "PRCMD.EXE" to remove these restrictions: PRCMD.EXE yourNewFile.pdf this will overwrite yourNewFile.pdf and remove PDF encryption and restrictions. README for PRCMD.EXE: DESCRIPTION: ------------ A-PDF Restrictions Remover Command Line(PRCMD) is a windows console utility that removes password and restrictions of PDF files. PRCMD is a stand alone program, does not need Adobe Acrobat. USAGE: ------ PRCMD [] [-P] [-F] : Specifies encrypted PDF file name. : Specifies output PDF file name. If the file name does not be specified, the output file will save to -P : Specifies open password if needed. -F : Force to reform unencrypted files. EXAMPLES: --------- Remove restrictions of file c:pdfencrypted.pdf PRCMD c:pdfencrypted.pdf Remove open password of file c:pdfopen-password.pdf and save to file c:pdfo-password.pdf. The password of file open-password.pdf is "pass123".
