1993
The story begins in February 1993, when Wahed and Sarfaraz conceive the idea of forming a metal band. They quickly recruit school friends Shakib, Farshed and Iresh as bassist, drummer, and singer, respectively, and the original line-up is complete. Shakib names the band Cryptic Fate. As the story goes, Shakib was praying when the name came to him.

Cryptic Fate is a Heavy Metal band from Bangladesh. Originally influenced by classic 80s metal, the band’s sound has continued to mature and evolve into a unique style melding all sub-genres of metal.

Recent times have seen Cryptic Fate experiment with softer and darker aspects of rock music, but with the release of its third album, “Danob”, Cryptic Fate returns to what it does best – brutal, no-holds barred heavy metal.
